Trimel has an exclusive worldwide license (excluding Brazil and Russia) to an intranasal gel delivery platform in relation to three specific product development programs.  This technology is composed of a proprietary bio-adhesive gel designed to adhere to the lateral wall of the nasal cavity.  The gel acts as a controlling matrix, allowing for sustained release of pharmaceutical compounds through the nasal mucosa.  The nasal mucosa offers an alternative route of administration with its high permeability and ease of administration with rapid absorption into the systemic circulation.

Alongside the gel technology, Trimel has invested significant time and resources in developing a nasal applicator device. The device should provide the end user with the ability to target a specific nasal cavity anatomical "sweet spot", thereby providing for optimal absorption. The device is designed to be practical and portable for travel and to satisfy the need for discrete daytime dosing where necessary.
